Works by erica m. szuplat and Garison Weiland are featured at the Maser Gallery at Falmouth Community Television (FCTV) through January 3, 2013. The show, “Sketches in Oil and on Paper,” features an array of sketches from szuplat’s many journals and simple still lifes painted in oil during the past year by Weiland.

A freelance artist and writer, szuplat creates a wide range of art, including commercial logos, hand-painted signs, children’s illustrations, cartoon portraits, and oil and acrylic paintings. She has kept journals for years, both for writing and for drawing, and has selected an assortment of representative sketches that she has done: at home, school, and while traveling.

  1. What a wonderful article, Marilyn! I love these painting and sketches and I also adore how Ericka includes writing with her work. I wonder if she teaches classes in the area. Thanks for this great work!
