Arts Alive is Coming!

ArtsFalmouth will present Arts Alive, its annual free, three-day celebration of the arts, on Friday, June 13 through Sunday, June 15 on the Falmouth Library Lawn and adjacent Shore Street Extension and Peg Noonan Park. There will be 40 performances—rock, folk, Celtic, blues, jazz, Broadway, theatrical, and more—on the Library Lawn and Peg Noonan Park and 80 artisans on Shore Street Ext. offering artworks, pottery, jewelry, home décor, photography, woodworking, personal care, and much more.

Wayside Sound opens the festival at 5 PM on Friday evening, June 13

The Paradise Rock Band plays energetic rock music for the Town Dance on Friday. The evening opens with Wayside Sound, an Americana-blues band, and Mwalim DaPhunkee Professor, who plays soul and blues originals from his NAMA-nominated album, “Thunderchild,” accompanied by The ZYG 808. On Saturday evening, dancers can foxtrot to the Cape Cod Moonlighters Big Band and move to the classic rock hits of Puffy Elvis.

Lily Rapoza, founder and director of the Songbird Collective, will sing at Arts Alive.

New this year, the Songbird Collective presents a dozen singer/songwriters at the bandstand in Peg Noonan Park Saturday and Sunday afternoon. The Songbird Collective, created by Lily Rapoza, is a bi-weekly event that takes place in Coffee Obsession’s sitting room in Falmouth. “It’s a show where musicians and songwriters can perform original music and feel truly heard,” said Rapoza, “where they are not just background music.

“My goal is to build an engaged, listening audience for the songwriters who perform at the show,” said Rapoza, who is also an ArtsFalmouth board member. “I want folks to fall in love with our artists and listen to their music in their free time, go to their shows, buy their merchandise, and support their journeys. I want to create a community that thrives on genuine, in-person interaction, because we need that more than ever today.”

Artists on the Lawn add to the fun of the festival. You can watch artists from the Falmouth Art Center Paint, or bring your own supplies and join in to paint the model, or anything else that’s going on.

There will be Artists on the Lawn on Saturday morning—bring your own art supplies to join them—plus an Art Tent with art activities for all ages. A dozen community groups will offer information about their services, and food trucks will provide nourishment.

Volunteers are needed throughout the weekend to help make the weekend a success. Volunteer activities range from help with setup and breakdown to staffing the ArtsFalmouth information table to helping with arts and craft activities for children and adults. To volunteer, contact ArtsFalmouth president Marilyn Rowland at artsfalmouthinc@gmail.com. For more information on Arts Alive, visit artsfalmouth.org/arts-alive-2025/
